Frisco is a city in Collin and Denton Counties in the state of Texas, and is a wealthy and rapid growing suburb of Dallas. In the 2000 census, the city population was 33,714-while according to 2008 city and census estimates it has surpassed 100,000.
Since 2003, Frisco has received the designation "Tree City USA" by the National Arbor Day Foundation. In 2007, it received the National Arbor Day Foundation Growth Award for the third year in a row. The award recognizes environmental improvement, and encourages a higher level of tree care and tree preservation within the community. A 2007 Forbes study named Frisco as the seventh-fastest growing suburb in the United States.
